People

01. Residents of Ward 5

Residents matter the most and are the heart of every city - residents of Ward 5 are my priority!  Residents are directly impacted by city council decisions and these decisions can affect day to day quality of life.  Decisions involving  street improvements, zoning, taxes, parks, city code, and public safety are important and your opinion on these topics matter.

Advocacy

I will represent the desires and needs of the residents of Ward 5.  What is important to you is important to me.  Effective governance comes from advocating for what is right, what is just, and what is beneficial to Ward 5.  The city belongs to all of us and we are strongest when we all work together.

Responsiveness

I will be proactive in representing the interests of Ward 5 residents.  Listening is key to being responsive and the avenue for me to understand what the community wants to see us accomplish for Ward 5.

Inclusion

Everyone has a voice and every person matters.  Working with me as your city council person gives you a seat at the table.  I believe government works best when residents are heard and involved.

Follow Through

Reporting back on results, delays, and further discussions is also important to this process.  Communication avenues will be open 24/7 via Facebook conversations and my personal email - lynettescruggstx@gmail.com.
